MentorCity

  MentorCity is both an online mentor matching company that connects individuals to meaningful mentoring relationships and a company that creates private label mentoring programs for businesses, universities/colleges, and not-for-profits/associations. At the heart of MentorCity is the importance of mentoring programs for personal and professional development. There are times in everyone’s life and career when the benefits from the advice, guidance and support of a mentor could prove invaluable. Or, perhaps you are now in a position to be that mentor and share your experiences and expertise with a mentee. MentorCity effectively matches mentees to mentors and guides them through the mentoring process, enabling them to engage in a series of meaningful give-and-take relationships.

Mentoring Canada

Mentoring Canada, is a not-for-profit informational site that provides resources and training to mentoring organizations and other charities. Mentoring Canada’s primary focus is to promote and support mentoring initiatives in communities across Canada.

Mentoring facilitates a connection between a skilled immigrant and an established Canadian professional in the same or related occupation.

Mentoring Internationally Trained Psychologists: Manual and Discussion Guide

  The Mennonite New Life Centre received a two-year grant in 2010 to support its Mentoring Internationally Trained Counsellors project. This model offers professional mentoring and supervised work experience to internationally trained psychologists and counsellors, while also mobilizing their skills and experience to meet critical mental health needs in newcomer communities. The Mennonite New Life Centre is a multi-cultural settlement agency that supports newcomer families from diverse cultural backgrounds to participate and contribute in all aspects of Canadian life: social, economic, cultural and political.

Mentorship Manual / Mentee Manual

  Youth Employment Service (Montreal) received a grant from the Counselling Foundation of Canada in 2003 to support the development of mentorship-related materials for at-risk youth. As a not-for-profit organization, YES Montreal enriches the community by providing English-language support services to help Quebecers find employment and start businesses.

Mentorship Outreach Program: Curriculum and Templates

  Vancouver Island University Vancouver Island University received a one-year grant from the Counselling Foundation of Canada in 2008 to support the costs associated with running their Mentorship Outreach Program. This initiative is designed to capture the interest, excitement and active involvement of students from non-traditional backgrounds. Vancouver Island University is a public, degree-granting institution that offers both university and college programs.
