Map Unavailable

Date(s) - 13/09/2018
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

An ally is someone who works with equity-seeking groups to dismantle barriers faced by the group. Allies use their position of power and privilege to influence decision-makers and work towards creating more equitable environments for all. Examples of an ally include men who work to promote women’s advancement, white people who challenge racism, heterosexual cisgender people who create more LGBTQ-inclusive environments, and so on. There are lots of allies. But what does it mean to be an “active” ally vs an “armchair” ally?

This webinar will examine the role of allies in the inclusion conversation, and what each person can do to actively ally with equityseeking groups in their workplace.
