Student Services Counsellor

Hudson College

Hudson College, a growing K-12 school in Toronto, is seeking a full-time Student Services Counsellor for its Upper School, commencing September 5, 2017.

The successful candidate will oversee and provide leadership in the Guidance area of the school. The role will include but is not limited to experience in all aspects of high school counselling, knowledge of the university application process, ability to implement student leadership lessons and workshops, and experience in liaising and communicating with teachers, students, parents and administrators.

The successful candidate can offer an outlet for students to feel safe and encouraged to discuss their social and emotional wellbeing. The successful candidate will work with students in a group setting and one on one basis to create an academic plan that relates to tangible career goals. Such a counsellor would help students achieve personal success, feel encouraged and envision their future.

Teaching experience in one of the following subjects also an asset:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Visual Arts


The successful candidate must have:

  • OCT certification
  • Experience in the Guidance area of a similar school environment
  • A demonstrated passion and commitment toward continued professional growth and development
  • Strong communication skills with students, parents and administrators
  • Strong skills to work in a collaborative working environment
  • A passion for extra-curricular activities and volunteerism
