Employer Relations and Job Development Project Manager

We are currently recruiting for an Employer Relations and Job Development Project Manager Assistant to work with the International Educated Professionals Bridging Program in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies for this exciting Contract opportunity.

Are you a professional with experience in Employer Relations and Career Development? Do you possess at least 3 years’ experience executing Employer Engagement and Business Development tasks? Do you possess superior public speaking skills including exceptional networking, negotiation and persuasion skills? Are you skilled and knowledgeable within the field of Career development and coaching? Do you possess knowledge of Labor Market trends as well as immigrant employment issues? If so, keep reading!

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an employer relations and job development project – with the aim of connecting the program, IEP students and alumni with employers in order to create new employment opportunities and increase student career success. The Manager will develop and engage a network of employers and employment partners and will assist with the overall marketing of the program to the employer community. The manger will develop an IEP student -centered environment that addresses the employment preparation needs of program participants, provides information, coaching and advocacy to assist with student employment success. The Manager will have multiple employment stakeholders’ interests to manage while responding to the needs of the students and the program. Will be responsible for measuring and monitoring the project’s success by profiling and tracking student’s and alumni’s career preparedness and achievements in order to promote and report on the program. The Manager will hire and manage up to three work-study students whose work will focus on implementing the employer engagement strategy and providing support with marketing, events and tracking. The Manager may also act on behalf of the Program Manager in their absence.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:

An Undergraduate university degree and/or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. In addition, the successful incumbent will possess a minimum of 3 years of program coordination/management experience in the following areas: Employer Engagement and/or Business to Business development experience; Relationship and Partnership Management; Career Counselling, Planning and Placement; experience working with Internationally Educated Professionals in the areas of recruitment, training, account management or development.
