With Leapforceathome, you are a search engine evaluator. This involves comparing one search engine result against another and using set criteria determining which is better. This work involves being internet savvy and having an understanding of the function of a search engine and the algorithms that power them. Attention to detail will also be an important part of the work.
What are their requirements?
I have taken this information directly from their website:
- High speed internet access (Cable Modem, DSL, etc.)
- A personal computer running Mozilla’s free Firefox web browser, version 17.x – 24.x.
- Up to date anti-virus and anti-spyware software
Basic Skill Requirements
- Excellent web research skills and analytical abilities
- Excellent comprehension and written communication skills
- Many Leapforce At Home independent agent assignments require fluency in a language other than English. For these assignments, independent agents will be required to pass a language assessment exam
What are the hours and rate of pay?
Leapforce is very clear that you are an independent contractor not an employee. As such you are fully responsible for your own income tax and other business related deductions. You set your own schedule and take on as many tasks as you like.
You are paid by task and the length of time it takes to complete a task varies (30 seconds to 15 minutes) as does the rate per task. My research indicated that successful contractors are in the $13.50 / hr range.
Once per month you will invoice Leapforce for completed work and they will then provide payment via direct deposit.
Anything else I should know?
There are opportunities for those who have other languages. While doing my research they had postings for people with Chinese language skills and Persian/Farsi language skills in Canada.
It is very important to note that there is an exam that you must study for and pass in order to qualify as a Leapforce Contractor. They provide all the study materials to you; however you will need to study and pass the exams. If you fail you are not allowed to take the exam again. Allow yourself fourteen days to qualify as an agent before you will start to take on tasks and earn money.
Are they legitimate?
Yes they are legitimate. There is different chatter out there about the number of tasks available, as well as being closed out of the system, however these are well within the normal range for a work at home opportunity.
There were no costs associated with registering or being a contractor with Leapforce at the time of writing. As always, do your due diligence before signing up for any opportunity.
